Our consultation hours are by appointment only (via email) in the common room (Building 16). PLease use the main entrance. In the entrance area, go through the glass door on the right, toward the janitor's office. The common room is located at the end of the hallway on the left.

There are no consultation hours during semester breaks!

Dear residents! If you habe ever wondered how to sublet your room in our dormitory and what you need to bear in mind, then you have come to the right place.

We have created a detailed guide for you. Please read it carefully and follow all the steps mentioned to successfully complete the subletting proccess:

If you have any questions, please contact YmFAc2F3LnJ3dGgtYWFjaGVuLmRl.

Before you can use the club rooms and facilities, you must become a full member of the dormitory association

You can find the neccessary documents here - under Other forms and doucments

After submitting your membership application and paying your first membership fee (in cash - you can the set up a SEPA direct debit mandate if you wish), the LAN socket in your room should be activated.

You can now use the cable connection to request your passwort for the SaW Wi-Fi. First, go to the following page: Selfservice – Forgotten password. There you will need to enter your room number (e.g. 123). This will send the passwortd for the self-service area in the SaW network to the email address you provided (the one on your membership application).

You can then log in with your username and the passwortd you received on the following page and look for the Wi-Fi password: Selfservice – Login

Your username always consists of the first letters of your first and last name and your room number, wether for the self-service area or for the Wi-Fi (Peter Mustermann from room 123 has the username "pm123").

Don't worry, you are not the only one with this problem. Many new residents do not have their own printer, and because they are not (yet) members, they cannot use the dormitory printer.

For this reason, we always have application forms (membership applications for SaW e.V. or SEPA forms) available in the printer room. You can access this room with your normal apartment key. Please be so kind as to lock the room again after leaving and fill out the forms in block letters so that they are clearly legible.

To use the house printer, you must first register in the printer system. You can do this by logging in to drucker.saw.rwth-aachen.de from the SAW network using your self-service login details.

Neyt, you need to top up your prepaid account. To do this, contact a member of the network working group via WhatsApp or bmFnQHNhdy5yd3RoLWFhY2hlbi5kZQ==.

Once you have done this, you can load your documents ot images onto a USB stick and go to the printer.

There, you log in again with your access data and can either print files from your USB stick, copy pages, or scan documents.

First: if you have not received a move-in flyer from the occupancy committee. please click on the following link: Move-in flyer

As this flyer cannot always be kept up to date, we recommend that you take a look at the following pages:

If you still have questions, you can of course also contact the house representatives and the occupancy committee (you can find the contact details on the intranet or in the display cases in the entrance area).

The network connection is usually procided at fairly short notice, but if you would still like to take care of everything necessary before you move in, please fill out the membership application for SaW e.V. and drop it in the association mailbox in House 18 or send it to the association's postal address. Your network connection should then be working smoothly when you move in. If you have any problems, you can contact the network working group bmFnQHNhdy5yd3RoLWFhY2hlbi5kZQ==.

The answer is yes and no. On the one hand, you do not have to pay membership fees to the association if the main tenant has already done so for the current semester (in most cases, the fees are divided fairly between the main tenant and the subtenant on a monthly basis - however, this is not our responsibility). Even if the fees have already been paid by the main tenant, you still have to become a member of the association. There are several reasons for this. By signing the membership application, you accept our statutes and regulations. At the same time, you accept the rules imposed on us by the IT Center of the RWTH Aachen University for internet access. Only then can we allow you to use our facilities. Passing on the main tenant's access data to the subtenant is not permitted and pointless, as our system blocks the access data.

You will find the contact details in the email from the student service, which you will receive as soon as you have been acccepted.

Yes, but please do not submit it to the association. At the beginning of each semester, you must submit a certificate of enrollment to the Studierendenwerk Aachen at c3R1ZGllbmJlc2NoZWluaWd1bmdAc3R3LnJ3dGgtYWFjaGVuLmRl

You must register with the Studierendenwerk. We have several rooms specifically for program students, which are not allocated by us.

You will be provided with a desk, a wardrobe, and a shelf. You will also have a fully equipped bathroom, a kitchenette, and a wall cabinet. See also under Apartment

Applications for a place in the Studierendenwerk's dormitories can now be submitted via the Studierendenwerk Aachen application portal. Please direct any questions regarding the application portal to the Studierendwerk Aachen! You can apply for a place in the Studierendenwerk's dormitories here!
